18. International Organ Summer

The summer of music at Berlin Cathedral continues: the 18th International Organ Summer begins on July 7. For two months, the famous Sauer organ at Berlin Cathedral with its 7,269 pipes distributed over 113 stops will be heard every Friday at 8 pm. The performance of the organists at the large console will be shown via video transmission on a screen in the church.

Cathedral organist Andreas Sieling will kick things off. On July 7, he will open the varied programme with works by the composer César Franck, juxtaposed with works by his pupils Louis Vierne and Charles Tournemire. This will also mark the end of the complete performance of Franck's organ works, which Sieling began a year ago for the Organ Summer.
