Cathedral bells to ring for International Day of Peace

For the first time in history, bells in churches and secular institutions across Europe will be rung in unison on 21st September, from 6pm to 6.15pm (CET), sending out a strong symbol in support of peace. Berlin Cathedral is participating in this event.
 
The European bell-ringing on the International Day of Peace also coincides with the European Year of Cultural Heritage 2018. The aim of the Year of Cultural Heritage is to raise awareness about the value of the cross-border, unifying dimensions of Europe’s material and non-material cultural heritage. This year, thousands of events are taking place as part of the campaign and the European bell-ringing on the International Day of Peace represents a special highlight.
